Get in touchWe submitted our job to myBuilder to lift the lintel in a fireplace to accommodate a freestanding cooker. We had multiple quotes from other tradespeople without a site visit as well as without taking measurements, however when Mark visited he instilled us with confidence that he fully understood our requirements and explained the pros and cons of different options relating to lintels and finishing. Mark had a chat with us both about the dimensions and style we were trying to achieve and quickly followed up his visit with an estimation for the works. We then decided we would like further works completing to the fireplace to plasterboard and plaster and Mark visited again to complete accurate measurements. We received the second estimate quickly which also included an estimate to plasterboard a second fireplace. Mark and Simon arrived promptly to begin the works and ensured the whole area and doorways to the house were protected and sealed to ensure the dust and debris didn't spread. The stages of the works to be completed were discussed with us. Within 1.5 days the works to lift the fireplace and replace the old lintel with two new concrete lintels, stabilise the existing brickwork and create an opening of 900mm for our cooker with plasterboard and plaster was completed in a professional, clean and tidy manner. Mark and Simon were great to chat to and their experience is clear as evidenced by their attention to detail and tidy approach.Latest review:Bricklaying-

I am bricklayer, gained my level 3 bricklaying while working with a general building company for 5 years that had all trades. Gained experience in most areas of building from doing many extensions block, bricklaying putting on roof plaster boarding and plastering. Been set up on my own for 5 years taking on large landscaping jobs, extensions, drainage, roofing. Have close contacts for plumbing, joinery and electrician and a digger driver when needed.
