Get in touchIan was hired to tile the floor and walls of a small understairs shower room and replace the shower fittings. He completed 95% of the work, promised to return and I made the mistake of paying him. Despite messages, he's failed to return and I've been forced to hire another tiler who has described Ian's work as shoddy. The obvious defects included; 1. the shower door, which he supplied and fitted, doesn't close leaving the shower water to flood the bathroom. Our new tiler identified that the floor of the shower wasn't tiled square and the door supports weren't installed opposite one another and vertically in an attempt to hide this, and 2. he left a film of grout over a third of the bathroom. In addition, our new tiler also spotted, 3. the floor of the shower has been tiled unevenly so the tray doesn't drain, 4. Some tiles have not been laid flat and jut out and 5. When tiling around external corners, he didn't cut the tiles accurately and hid the gaps with varying sizes of trim.Latest review:Bathroom Fitting-

Get in touchWill and his team did an outstanding job. Will explained upfront that removing the bathtub might result in damage to the first row of tiles above it, which could require replacement. However, thanks to their expertise and professionalism, only two tiles were damaged during the process, avoiding the need to replace the entire row. This saved both time and money. After the shower screen was installed, a minor issue came up, but one quick call to Will, and he promptly returned to resolve it. The team completed the work efficiently, to an excellent standard, and within one day. I would happily use this company again and highly recommend their services.

He was able to order the parts quickly and replace the shower and replace the plug in the bath. He also was able to retile the bath again. I would recommend his services and use again.

All work he carried out has to ripped out and done correctly at considerable cost to ourselves. Do not employ him. Materials he provided were the cheapest possible and not what he quoted for. He bought the wrong size bannister rail and spindles so he bodged it with bits of wood glued in, glue all over the spindles. Quoted for primed spindles, provided cheap pine which we had to paint. Quoted for white composite panelling, provided grey chipboard which he said we had to paint. Where he installed pipe work for the basin, you wouldn't be able to get through the door. Forgot to install the window so hacked through the plasterboard he'd put in, then ordered the wrong size window as he only measured the inside. Put in electics even though he's not qualified and the work can't be signed off. Didn't bury pipework, so patio slabs can't go back down. From the initial visit to quotation and changing ideas, he definitely had made sure all the boxes are tick according to my requirements. We left him our keys to have access to our house as we are away on holiday and he is very trustworthy to do job according to its timeline. All tidied up after the works and pricing are very competitive compare to others. Overall, we are satisfied to his works and definitely will call recommend him for future refurbs in our house.
