We had previously used Robert to change our old boiler system to a new combi boiler system, and also used him to change and move some radiators in some rooms we were renovating. So when we decided to redo our bathroom Robert was the obvious choice. He did an excellent job. Firstly during the quoting phase he gave us numerous options and recommendations regarding the type of fittings that would work in the bathroom space, and then gave us options on dates that would best suit us to be without the use of the bathroom. During the work, Robert always arrived when best suited for us, in our case before we went on the school run early in the morning. Robert also always made sure we had a toilet available for use during the work, which made the time a lot easier. The work was completed to a very high standard, and the bathroom is so much better than we had before. We would definitely use Robert for more plumbing and heating work, and would definitely recommend him to others.

This builder arrived advising not to install PVC panels despite accepting the job and kept saying to have tiles done. He claimed PVC panels will cause damp and mould issues and will become loose. If that was really true all the companies that make PVC panels would be out of business and gone into administration. The talking point was this builder wasn't going to make any money out of PVC but from tiles which was labour intensive. The basic fundamentals of any good builder is to listen to the customer what they are asking and work in their interest and he was the complete opposite which in my view is a bad builder. Also he advised he can change bathroom extractor fan by extending the existing lighting cable and install additional sockets by spiring off existing sockets but he is not a qualified electrician and has no electrician’s card so he shouldn't be touching electrics. Sorry but I cannot recommend this builder as in my opinion he does not possess the right traits of a good builder.

Some of the work was done well, but there were leaks, broken tiles and unfinished work. Their initial estimate was 3 weeks, took 7 weeks to get to anywhere near finished and then complained it wasn't worth his time, even though they had been fully aware of our full spec from the start. Told me that I had to pay in full when work was not completed and promised to come back - still unfinished 7 months later. Ignoring all calls and made zero attempt to contact us. I'm not one to leave negative reviews but we have been left having to fork out more money for someone else to complete the work....not happy!
