Despite some initial positives, the project was ultimately marred by poor communication, unprofessional conduct & serious breaches of trust. We strongly advise against using Bluelime due to the stress, financial impact, & unresolved issues we faced. While kitchen & bathroom installations were OK & progressed quickly, Bluelime deviated from approved plans in a conservation area, causing compliance issues (estimated correction costs of £15–£20k). Heating & insulation were poorly installed, & second opinions confirmed our dissatisfaction. Communication broke down, with responses defensive and intimidating. Costs rose unexpectedly (e.g. door fitting from £1200 to £2640) & inflated quotes in later stages. The property wasn’t ready for move-in multiple times, disrupting our young family. Additional concerns included missing tools, ignored warranties, inconsistent workmanship & misleading claims about affiliations. We urge others to check Bluelime (Alton Campbell) on Companies House.

We are currently in the process of fully renovating our 4 bedroom house in Epsom. The project includes structural changes, plus a garage conversion and a loft conversion. Niamh from ID Studio 17 has been involved right from the start of the design phase through to the start of the build. During the design phase, Niamh provided a number sketches for each floor, showing what we could potentially do with the house. Her ideas were extremely creative - many of which would have never crossed our minds! After the design phase, when we had decided on what we wanted to do with each floor, Niahm not only started the technical drawings, but also handled all aspects of building control and the structural engineer. In addition, she helped us source items and materials for the project, which included several days spent visiting suppliers with us. Niamh has a very broad understanding of renovation/building work, from structural aspects to the soft furnishings, and she is also very driven. Her communication skills are great. I would certainly recommend ID Studio 17 for any renovation project!

Haru designed our loft, managed the hiring of the contractor and then handled the project management of the build. He brought a fresh and impressive vision to the project which he backed up with extremely detailed plans and an attention to detail that was second to none. The finished loft is amazing, and we have no doubt that we could not have achieved such an impressive result without Haru. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

Shiraz is a very experienced Architect. I hired My Architect to work on loft and rear extensions. I had an idea of what I wanted but Shiraz helped me ground it into reality and we ended up coming up with a design that was better than what I had. He was also very responsive and helped me in the process of getting approval for 6-meter rear extension which had been refused before. Shirav is very rounded in architectural work, structural calculation, and the flow of planning and building control. Shiraz was extremely helpful and professional in the early stages, determining the right direction to take my project. Further to this, the design process with Shiraz was an absolute pleasure. Everything is made clear, easy, and stress-free. The Designs were beautiful and any questions or advice I needed were answered quickly and empathetically. I can highly recommend Shiraz for Architect work as he has a broad domain knowledge of the work.

Adrian Hill has been very helpful, listened carefully to gain an understanding of the style I wanted and came up with a beautiful design for a kitchen extension and a means of extending space in a small upstairs bedroom in my mid-terrace house. He helped to identify an excellent company for undertaking the work, checked and explained contracts and other documentation, has liaised with the construction company throughout, ensured specifications were met and prompted them to keep to schedule. Some of the work remains incomplete due to the COVID-19 lockdown but that is beyond everyone's control and I'm confident it will be completed in the coming weeks. The price charged by Adrian HIll Architects was reasonable (I spoke with three architects before selecting Adrian Hill Architects) and overall is a pleasure to work with Adrian. In my view he is a very good architect and I have no hesitation in recommending him.
