Despite some initial positives, the project was ultimately marred by poor communication, unprofessional conduct & serious breaches of trust. We strongly advise against using Bluelime due to the stress, financial impact, & unresolved issues we faced. While kitchen & bathroom installations were OK & progressed quickly, Bluelime deviated from approved plans in a conservation area, causing compliance issues (estimated correction costs of £15–£20k). Heating & insulation were poorly installed, & second opinions confirmed our dissatisfaction. Communication broke down, with responses defensive and intimidating. Costs rose unexpectedly (e.g. door fitting from £1200 to £2640) & inflated quotes in later stages. The property wasn’t ready for move-in multiple times, disrupting our young family. Additional concerns included missing tools, ignored warranties, inconsistent workmanship & misleading claims about affiliations. We urge others to check Bluelime (Alton Campbell) on Companies House.

A 100ft extension that required a complete rebuild of the existing 1000 sq ft and a substantial steel package and design to deal with sub standard foundations. Mr Sedda was informative, provided a wealth of knowledge that helped to secure planning approval and delivered the detailed packages fast and with no mistakes. He interpreted my designs accurately bringing many of his own ideas to the design. Stefano is reliable with a wealth of professional knowledge especially in the planning and design arena. Sohail worked closely with me on this project. Providing detailed costings, work schedules and build timelines. Filling my knowledge gaps with his extensive experience he was able to assist over and beyond what I expected from him. Unfortunately due to circumstances out of my control this development project didn’t go ahead. However when the next opportunity for a new build comes up I will definitely be using Rose and Stone. I did have another job going at the time where the other builder badly let me down and left me with a big problem on my hands…. Sohail and his team stepped in and took on the project. The team finished the job exceptionally well, which was a full on top to bottom conversion, some internal reconfigurations and with the addition of a loft and new downstairs WC. The workmanship and overall quality of the job was excellent. My wife is over the moon with the results, taking the house from a three bed one bathroom to a four bed 3 bathroom house. We would definitely recommend Rose and Stone for this type of extensive refurbishment/loft conversion work and look forward to working with them in the future on bigger development projects.
