I work for a well know double glazing company in Wiltshire as a self employed window and door fitter. I also worked for them as an employed service engineer for a couple of years before going back to being a self employed fitter. I run Tim Ash windows and doors as an alternative for cheaper repairs and also supply and fitting of new doors and windows. I have public liability insurance and also have a friend from work who helps out on larger jobs. I get my products through the company I work for at a discount, so I’m not getting cheap windows and doors I’m using the sam quality of products that I work with during the week & just passing on my discount to bring the prices down. I’m just trying to make a little extra money in my spare time.

In most respects the work was done very well. Dannun arrived on time, discussed my requirements and took care to do the window replacement accordingly. He made small adjustments as necessary in the course of the work and cleared up thoroughly afterwards. The finished job looks good. He had to return to fit a bolt which we decided was needed. At the same time, he was going to remove glue which he had spilled on a polycarbonate glazing pane and apply frame sealant. However, he did not bring turpentine for the glue, nor sealant and gun, relying on me to have them. I did not, so he has to return again. To summarise-very good workmanship, apart from the spilled glue. Good timekeeping. Organisation could be better--ie: thinking ahead about everything that might be needed.

Joe is an exceptionally nice, highly skilled, knowledgable professional cabinet maker and joiner. He works hard to complete a job as well as possible, however quirky or awkward the space or task and has turned his hand to a range of work, including reinstalling a Georgian handrail and uprights with a methodical and intelligent approach or making an invisible splice to shorten a tressel table. Highly recommend this family man who is reliable, communicative and a pleasure to employ and have on your side. Thanks Joe

I recently used Martyn Christopher and honestly could not fault the service from start to finish. He initially came to quote for replacing a small blown window, arriving exactly when he said he would, providing a prompt quote, and answering all questions clearly. We then decided to go ahead with a new window, an upgraded replacement front door, and a repair to an upstairs window where the hinge had been damaged in strong winds. Martyn carefully measured everything, explained the different door styles and price ranges, and guided us towards a local showroom while also sending an online catalogue to review options. Communication was excellent throughout. He kept us updated, double-checked measurements, and confirmed fitting dates quickly. On installation day he arrived on time, worked solidly, kept everything tidy, and explained each stage of the process. The finished work is excellent quality. I would 100% recommend Martyn Christopher and would happily use his services again.

Benjamin completed the job after quoting me for the materials and labour inclusive. His communication throughout was excellent and turned up in time. Benjamin was courteous, polite, clean, tidy and professional throughout. Benjamin takes pride in his work man-ship and I highly recommend his services out there to anyone. My main trades are brickwork and plastering , I laid my first brick at the age of 8 I am a 3 rd generation bricklayer. however over the years I have worked on most aspects of building work ranging from old Cobb houses with thatched roofs to modern day timber frame. The only things I wont get involved with is gas’s and electric for obvious reason's .I have also been fitting windows and doors for the past 4 years happy to travel and help in any way possible.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Stuart surveyed and tailored our quote exactly to our needs, Jason then fitted the doors, swiftly, efficiently and with an amazing finish at hundreds of pounds cheaper than other quotes. Stuart even popped over afterwards to make sure we were happy with the job. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.
