Ian and his colleague were fantastic. From start to finish, Ian visited straight away, gave a quote with good pricing. Stuck to the time frame he originally have us, very trustworthy, he was on time, left no mess inside or outside the house and did a great job all round. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use Ian and his colleague again for future work. Craig responded to my request through my builder to hang 5 internal doors, within ten minutes. He then rang me as soon as I had short listed him to talk about my job. He was professional throughout, very chatty and put me at ease straight away. His work is of an exceptionally high standard and he did not stop until the job was complete. Craig quoted the job extremely competitively but did not take any short cuts and worked twelve hours to get the job done. I’ve already asked him to do more work for us asap. DO NOT HIRE! He didn’t arrive on the first day and when he did show up really only seemed to make progress while his “mate” joined him and spent a lot of time on his phone. He’s left me with glass with smears all over, putty a toddler could have applied better, rips in the exterior paint where he tried to tidy some of his over painting, paint on the tiles below, and a huge mess in my drive way. I had a single side window as well as a bay, which he stripped the bottom off and then decided his ladder wasn’t long enough so has now left me with exposed wood. I have had to pay extra for scaffolding, which has been up months, and have now bought myself a ladder to finish the job myself, which is what I was trying to avoid as a busy single mother of three. I’ve given him months of opportunity to come back and fix, but he’s fobbed me off and is now ignoring me entirely. Only hire Edward Joyce if you want to be left with a huge mess and sub-standard work.

George came & assessed the job, quoted a price. I accepted & we arranged a date for the work. He came on day 1 & fitted all the 10 doors. Next day he fitted all the door handles. Despite his supplier giving him the wrong handle for the bathroom he quickly got an alternative from a local place. George was polite, friendly, efficient & reliable as well as an excellent carpenter. A pleasure to have in my house. Very good with my 4 yr old granddaughter. I would recommend him to do any carpentry work to a high standard.

Michael fitted 3 new windows and 2 handles for me, and also sorted out a faulty catch on another which he did for free. He quoted less than other companies and the work he did was to an excellent standard. Very polite and friendly, he is a tradesman I would definitely recommend to others and I would definitely hire again.
