My experience with RES has unfortunately not been as positive as I expected. Richard appears to be very knowledgeable, and nothing is too much trouble and he can find ways to complete any building work you need doing. Unfortunately the project did not go as smoothly as expected firstly the communication regarding start dates was very poor and it seemed as if Richard was struggling to find tradesmen to complete the work. Once the project started work was completed in a sub optimal order, namely rendering the property prior to all the dirty jobs creating mess and large quantities of dust which of course impacts the finish of the render. Richard did not order skips in a timely manner causing excess piles of waste to mount up on my front lawn. Richard would then state that he would charge me extra to remove this waste. Richard left my house without power to the upstairs lights and left light switches wired in the incorrect locations. Richard tried to charge me extra to correct snagging issues. Richard would also add numerous extra’s to the bill without notification or approval, Richard added several thousand pounds to my bill in extras that should have been included in the initial quotations. Richard did not like me querying these extras and proceeded to harass me and arrive at my vacated property uninvited on a Friday night to have a “professional conversation” and the police were required to attend to move him on. He then decided that on Christmas morning he would sue me.

Antony Acomb is a very nice guy and talks a good talk, but do not use him for anything other than building a small wall, we had an extension built by Antony Acomb (built! I use that term very losely) it should have taken 10 weeks but after 26 weeks and the work still not finished we had to remove him from our home, everything he had done has had to be redone, apart from the brickwork and that's not great, he didn't even channel out the drainage meaning we had to have a damp proof course and soak away done in a NEW extension, all the plastering has to be done again, the roof needs taking down and redoing, he stuffed plastic bags in gaps and covered with concrete, he didn't level the floor and he didn't even cap off the old drain he just covered it with tiles and then concrete, he didn't remove skirtings before laying the floor, the list is endless, I'm not exaggerating, John Fowler, manager of building control York said it was one of the worse builds he has seen in 30 years, his words were it's so dire, Antony is now trading under AA building and renovation Ltd, he took £15500 Of our hard earned money and then got a solicitor to demand another £3000, so far we have had to pay another £17000 to put it right, clearly this job was too big for him, this will be on going and we won't stop until we get our money back, but we need to warn everyone, tiny job, yes but bigger then stay well clear of Antony Acomb from Acomb maintenance and solutions or AA building and Renovations.

William did an excellent job It was quite a challenging task and several other joiners said it was too difficult to undertake. It is a 20 year old, bespoke two storey hardwood bay with laminated glass. The main vertical columns and the cills had rotted so the task was to replace the rotten sections with new. If this wasn't challenging enough, there was the matter of the glazing which I was expecting would blow. William and his colleague Chris turned up on a day when the rain didn't stop so it was far from ideal working environment. They very carefully removed the glass, replaced the sections and the glass and stained it to match existing. I think this needed both skill and care and am delighted with the result. I would highly recommend them both.

Not really they where two work colleagues who I have to say were fantastic not only at their job but with the customer, nothing was too much trouble at all....Thanks lads great workmanship and great company to deal with which I would recommend to anyone.
