The tilers were kind and managed to tile on a difficult kitchen floor and it looks nice. However they raised the floor too much by the washing machine, by 3cm! This meant I could not fit a standard washing machine under my worktop. Initially, I was told I needed 4 bags of adhesive and 2 bags of self-leveller. After removing the laminate and sending pics, they said the self-leveller wasn't needed (was required later anyway) but I needed 3 bags of anti-crack mats instead, very expensive. On the day of the job, they told me I needed to buy tile clips, which every tiler should have! While they did agree to get them, this should have been included in the price. Then partway through they said I need 7 more bags of adhesive and 3 self-leveller, adding £400 in unexpected material costs, which I had to source while working. In total, they used 11 bags of adhesive for an 18m2 floor.
