A recommendable stonemason! Mark came always on time, worked very hard, had hardly any breaks and was very helpful. He was always friendly, polite and appeared happy on the job. Even when we added little things to his to do list he kept in good spirits. The wall Mark built is outstanding and he made it fit nicely around the ponds . His workmanship looks fantastic and he managed to blend the wall in with an existing wall. We were so happy that we gave him another 2 jobs in repairing a wall and laying 2 concrete bases, which he has also finished to a high standard. Mark's prices was also very competitive . Another little thing we noticed was that he was a very tidy tradesman. We have never seen a builder being so clean. After Mark finished his day you did not notice he was actually there besides the work he had done.

Had SCJ Construction do some work to my attic walls which went ok. I subsequently had them back to refit some roof vents that were installed incorrectly by another company. Not long after being refitted I noticed issues from what I can see with how some of the vents had been refitted. Steve who seems to be the one in charge eventually sent his boys around after a long period of waiting to have a look unfortunately they didn't even come with a roof ladder so couldn't go onto the roof to rectify the issues that could be seen and investigate further. They insisted that they would have to investigate further internally which I could not allow as I have recently had new loft insulation installed which I'm not prepared to have messed up. I can't see any reason why the vent's weren't installed correctly other than lack of attention to the installation instructions. I was quoted for the vents to be re installed correctly to manufacturers instructions. Steve's advised them not to do anymore.
