After deliberating with a few different builders and structural engineers on an up and coming project I wanted to carry out, I met Valter from Craftsman Construction and instantly knew I would use them. He was honest, friendly, helpful and gave good advice. They came and completed the job within a couple of days to a standard that was better than I could’ve imagined. Great workmanship. Would highly recommended Valter and the team.

They completed the task of fitting wood floor to the downstairs of the property to my satisfaction. I also got them to fit the skirting board and architraves around the doors. At each step I was able to talk to Alfred and get things sorted accordingly but I did not expect so much dust to come out of fitting wood on the floor.

Part of the reason we chose Tache (Tony) and his team was that he turned up promptly for the quotation at the time he said he would. This turned out to be the norm for them as they turned up early each day, worked hard and did full days to get the job done as close to time as possible. On the first day they did an extra long day and managed to pull down the old roof and build the new one to make it watertight, as they knew rain was expected. Throughout the job Tache was constantly asking exactly what we wanted and checking we were happy with the work. Some of the jobs turned out to be bigger/harder than they expected (removing an old tree stump) but they took it into their stride and worked through it. Overall they transformed the end of our garden. They removed a large amount of old plants and rocks from the previous rockery and flattened the ground, they put up new fencing and replaced the old decking and the old concrete shed had little in common with what was there before with a new roof, flat floors, new lights, new painted doors and windows and a crisp white finish inside. It looks great. There were a few issues along the way, but overall we are very happy with the work.

We employed A.V Structures for the building of an external wall around our property, the removal of a garage and the installation of railings and gates. Throughout the 4 week programme we could not have been happier with their work. Arrival was prompt, their pace of work displayed energy and purpose. They were mindful of us and our neighbours and made sure the area was left clean and tidy at the end of each days work.in addition the workmen were courteous and kept us fully informed. Alex, the owner of the company, kept in close contact with us to assure himself of our satisfaction. He came on site at intervals to check that all was going according to plan. We therefore felt completely confident that quality and outcomes were important to him. Employing A.V Structures was a decision we were pleased to have made. After being let down by our previous builder, shortly before work was due to start, we were informed about this website, and somewhat hesitantly posted our garage conversion and kitchen renovation onto the site. After obtaining quotes from 3 builders, we decided to hire Nick cos of his straightforward and honest attitude to the job. We spoke with a couple of people that Nick had previously done work for, and they were very complimentary, so this just confirmed our decision to hire Nick. We have never undertaken any extensive building work before and were therefore nervous about the work starting, however I can honestly say that Nick was absolutely fantastic from start to finish of the project. Nick and his team were extremely hard working (finished much sooner than we expected), they kept the house as clean as possible when completing such works, and were generally an absolute pleasure to have around the house. Nick's craftmanship is exemplary and was always there to discuss any changes, extras or cut backs when not required. I would not hesitate in recommending Nick to anyone, safe in the knowledge that I know he would do an exceptional job, in fact more than three people have already asked for his details upon seeing the great job that he has completed here!! William gave a detailed quote which enabled us to select or deselect some items and know the relevant cost.
