Jim and his team carried out a remodel of our house in Belfast, we live in California so it was a bit more challenging. They created an open floor plan, found many original features that they helped us save. Not only did they do an amazing job on the house they did it with the attitude to help us in anyway they could. They took late meetings with us due to the time change and even when the job was done I am still in contact when I need anything and they are eager to help. After they did the inside remodel we recently had them do the backyard , they installed a new deck which looks amazing. We also have plans for the future that include more work from this amazing team. We highly recommend them to anyone in need of updating their home. Thanks Again for everything!

Building Restoration & Refurbishment Company in Bangor, County Down
Property maintenance, renovations and home improvements across Belfast and surrounding areas. I undertake a wide range of residential and commercial projects, from smaller repairs and improvements to larger property renovations and preparation of commercial premises for opening. Services include painting & decorating, carpentry and timber work, wall and ceiling repairs, plasterboard, flooring, kitchen improvements, splashbacks, doors, outdoor structures, greenhouse repairs and restoration, general property maintenance and many other renovation and improvement works. I can also manage projects involving plumbing and electrical work, with specialist or regulated work carried out or completed by appropriately qualified tradespeople where required. I’m happy to take on unusual or multi-trade projects that require several different types of work and provide one point of contact from preparation through to completion. We are very happy with the work. We had already replaced the stairs and landing carpet along with the hallway flooring and great care was taken to ensure this was well protected during the painting and decorating. All work was carried out in a one day, thanks to the longs they worked. Very happy to reccommend Peter to any potential clients.

Restoration & Refurbishment- 20 Sep 2021
Work included new kitchen and bathroom fitted, relocate all downstairs radiators and hide all pipework, replastered livingroom, kitchen and bathroom, replace laminate flooring and retile kitchen splash back, bathroom walls and floor and relocate light fittings in livingroom and exchange old fluorescent light in kitchen with spotlights. The list goes on. Due to my having COVID-19 when the work was due to start, Rory was extremely helpful and worked around my illness until it was safe to start work. This speaks volumes to the commitment to clients needs Rory has. Top guy who is very easy to work with. The whole team was a blessing and were more than willing to go over and above to make us happy. The work was completed on budget and in a reasonable time frame given the amount of work carried out. Work was done to a good standard and as with all major reno work any small snags that cropped up over the week after completion, Rory sent his guys out to rectify any and all issues that arose. ( few and minor that the snags were). I would highly recommend Rory and R Building services to others and would use them in the future should i have any more work to be done.

Bricklaying- 16 Jun 2020
Declan responded very quickly to the posted job. They always turned up when they said they would, carried out the work very quickly and to a very high standard. The only negative was that they could have left the garden tidier, but they carried out some additional work free of charge and were kind enough to leave me materials so I could make a base for a shed. Declan suggested improvements during the work and kept me informed throughout, I'm happy with the job and the speed it took and would definitely hire him again.

Joinery & Cabinet Making- 20 Apr 2017
Chris is just amazing! From the day he came to quote through to completing the initial work we advertised, he has been great - very polite and he actively listens to what the job is and provides good discussion on options/best solutions, if you're not entirely sure. He is a very conscientious and methodical workman and one who leaves a job tidy afterwards, which is getting more rare, unfortunately. Chris completed such an excellent job on fitting the doors and frames initially advertised, that we are also currently using him to lay floors (which I can also confirm look fantastic 😃), building a fence and fitting fascia/guttering, to name a few. He is very competitive in his quotes and extremely reliable and we can totally recommend him.

Restoration & Refurbishment- 24 Sep 2023
Jamie took our job which consisted of refurbishing the kitchen and a couple of bits in the bathroom. Not only did he not finish the job but he and his plumber absolutely wrecked our house, having been paid in full. I could write a very long review about everything that's been done wrong and how Jamie doesn't take responsibility but I'm not going to waste my time with this guy anymore other than in the Court, all I can say, and, I really hope this will help other people.. is, I do not recommend Jamie at all and if I can give 1 advise, this is: please, do not make the mistake we made and pay a trader before he finishes the job.

Restoration & Refurbishment- 9 Apr 2020
Avoid this guy at all costs. Claims to have 30yrs experience behind him in the construction industry. This is not the case. He has no experience whatsoever. A DIY handyman would know more. Claims to have a a team of professional tradesmen, this again is untrue. He gets them through Gumtree and Mybuilder when required. Non of the tradesmen who he got for our project had ever worked for him before. They had no loyalties to him or ourselves. He was caught out telling lies to us and the tradesmen he employed. He actually told one of the tradesmen to tell us lies but that particular guy told us the truth and was honest. Unless you want a professional liar stay clear. Choose your tradesmen wisely. We were unfortunate!!
