Holes round edge of the room?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.44 PM

Hi, we have just had a carpet laid over laminate flooring, we were told that there was no need for underlay and that a felt back carpet would be best. We agreed and the carpet was fitted yesterday, after the fitters left we have notice holes around the edge of the room. Is this normal? It's like they have nailed the carpet once it was laid? We aren't sure if we should call the shop or if this was to be expected because they were fitting over laminate flooring?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I totall agree with the last respose although I have fitted carpet on laminate where the customer did not want to have a big gap under doors . Why they would nail it is beyond me. GOOD LUCK
