Sticking Brick Tiles to a curved plywood wall

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.56 PM

I have a gently curved plywood wall, double thickness 9mm plywood. And i want to use the Brick Tiles, real bricks with the fronts sliced off to make a tile. Could i just use standard flexible tile adhesive, or would the plywood need some sort of priming before?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Prime, prime and prime again. Firstly it should be a marine grade ply and secondly, if there is any moisture ingress into the wood, your tiles will start to de-bond. Priming can be done with an ordinary paint roller and as it only takes minutes to apply, I would use a minimum two coats and ideally three because of the curve. Hope this helps, Robert.
