Extractor fan through tiled walls in bathroom
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.48 PM
Hi I would like to install an extractor fan in the bathroom. I've read in previous questions that it is not a good idea to install it through a double glazed windows, and more specially if I still want to be able to open the windows. So I have no choice but fit the extractor fan through the wall. My question are : 1) As my wall are tiled, is it easy for a professional to drill a hole through a tiled wall ? taking into account that the depth between the tile and the external wall is about 25cm. Is the cut of the hole going to be neat and smooth or is the rest of the tile going to break / being damaged / looking ugly ? 2) I have no electricity plug in the bathroom, so where will the electricity for the fan come from ? Light ceiling ? 3) Is the wire going to be visible ? or is it going to be hidden in the ceiling ? Many thanks for your help
