Which combi boiler should I install in my 3 bed house?

I currently have an old (and broken!) glow worm pressurised system boiler which I have had in my house for the past 8 years. I am looking to replace it with a combi boiler which I understand is cheaper to run. My mum has a Valiant boiler and raves about it although she knows nothing about boilers and in the past I have had a Worcester. I have a 3 bed semi and would need a boiler that would cope with the extra demand from a future loft conversion. I have heard that you pay for the name of Valiant although some others say you cant beat it. Can someone please advise - I would like something reliable and that can cope with a high demand of showers from my household. I dont want to put in what a plumber says is good but possibly has only put in as they are getting a good deal on it!
