Patio pooling

Hi. I've recently had a new patio laid in natural sandstone. It's been down for about 3 months. Since the rains water is pooling in the centre and to one side. When the rain stops it does not take long long for the water to disappear. I believe the jointing was done with a porous compound. Is this because of poor workmanship or is this normal considering the rain we've had.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

My guess would be they haven’t put a run off on the slabs/ they are not level
