Bricklaying & Repointing

Single garage

Anonymous user 28/10/2026 - 7.40 AM

Building a garage approx 3.5m wide, 6.5m long, rubber flat roof pitched from front to rear. Within 1m of neighbours boundary so having to put in plans as wanting to install roller shutter garage door which I understand would tip me over the allowed 2.4m to eaves height. Id rather submit plans with it slightly higher than it might end up being so don't have to apply again but I'm struggling to work out height from ground level to where the top of rubber roof will finish to allow for a typical standard height roller shutter door. To put into context, there was a 5mx7m concrete sectional garage there before, about 3.5m high! So don't think there will be an issue with planning approval, its more what I draw my plans to or any similar examples? Thanks
