the %age difference in cost between using 22mm T & G flooring chipboard and 22mm timer T & G floor boards.

I will soon be doing a large 1st and 2nd floor extension. What is going to be cheaper -using 22mm T & G flooring grade chipboard or 22mm T & G timber floor boards. At this early stage I would really just like to know what the %age difference would be. Thanks.

The chipboard will be cheaper to buy- about 80% less , and the cost of laying will be about the same -80% less. This is a bit of a guess, but chipboard is way cheaper, that is why it is so popular.

Chipboard way cheaper than boards and easier/faster to install. If you're planning to have it covered with carpets or laminate flooring is pointless to install boards.
