Patio post footing

I HAVE DUG THE FOUNDATION FOOTINGS FOR INSTALLATION OF A PATIO . Unfortunately,one of the post footing lands smack bang over pvc sewer pipe to house..I cant change the location of posts.Suggestions on how i can protect the pipe while having the patio post over it?

Hi, I wouldn't recommend placing the patio post footing directly over the sewer pipe, as the weight could damage it over time. The safest option would be to have a structural engineer assess whether a reinforced concrete ground beam could span over the pipe and transfer the load to foundations on either side, without putting pressure on it.
