Removal of chimney stacks

Anonymous user 12/10/2026 - 3.11 PM

we were getting damp in the bedroom ceilings. We got some one to remove both chimney stacks. He removed stacks to roof level and put membrane there and re tiled it. Will that cause damp in the future? Do chimneys need air vent?

Only need air vents if chimneys go out side..but if they were very wet. Could vent to help them dry out. But the last summer was very good so probably no need..
