Ufh and radiators
Anonymous user 12/10/2026 - 8.22 AM
Thinking of adding UFH and couple of new radiators (3 or 4). What would be the best combi boiler to accommodate this. Will UFH and radiators come on at the same time or could one be used without the other being on as I press a switch to turn the radiators on.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi,
All correcltly sized combi boilers will accommodate what you're looking for, but I would advise on a main brand such as Worcester, Vaillant, Baxi or ideal.
The radiators and underfloor will be able to be used separately providing a separate thermostat and 2 port zone valve are fitted to the system to separate the radiator circuit from the ufh. If there is no hydraulic separation between the two the radiators will come on when any ufh zone is turned on.
