Hi, It depends where the dripping is coming from, the gland Nut (small nut located directly behind the spindle) is a common culprit as they work loose ever so slightly over time with use. However if the dripping is coming from the connections/pipe side it could be a few things. If the stopcock is still dripping, the handyman didn't fix it properly, so I’d replace the valve or repack the gland. You’ll usually need to find the main stopcock out on the path. I would recommend a plumber for this job. Cheers steve.
