Why are my internal skirting rotting

I have a DPC concrete floors . The wall that the skirtings are rotted was the old outside wall over 100y ago and extension was built straight onto ash or sail/ clay. Obviously when the DPC was laid they couldn't lay it under the internal wall as it's weight bearing . Should I have this wall injected .

it may need a new DPC but I wouldn’t recommend injecting it without first confirming the source of the moisture. The wall and floor/DPC junction should be inspected first, as bridging or another moisture source could be causing the skirting to rot.
