It all depends on the design you have in mind. If you want the slat panels fitted directly to the existing wall, I would normally bond them with clear silicone and then use a nail gun for the second fix, if the wall allows it. If it’s a brick wall and the nail gun isn’t suitable, we can use suitable wall fixings instead. The fixings can be countersunk and then filled with matching-colour wax so the screw heads are not visible. If you want the TV recessed into a niche, we could build a timber frame and fix the slat panels to that, making the wall slightly thicker. This would also give us a void behind the panels to hide all the TV cables and connections. We could also build one or two shelves underneath for consoles or other equipment. There are quite a few options, so it really depends on the design and the finish you want.
