What kitchen worktop overlay do I need for and old laminate worktop

Hi What kitchen worktop overlay do I need for an old laminated worktop, but I don't think wrap will be the right thing. I think I need an overlay, no dismantling required (I had the kitchen cabinet door replaced on Sunday already). Also how much should I pay for this as I'm on a budget but want a nice looking finish. Kitchen worktop Dimensions Top wall length: 204 cm (80.5 inches) Right wall length: 268 cm (105.5 inches) Standard worktop depth: 59.5 cm Left inner horizontal run: 103 cm (40.5 inches) Diagonal corner face (Hob): 61 cm ( 24 inches) Right inner vertical run: 143 cm Bottom finished width: 34.5 cm (13.5 inches)

Hi Ayesha, I recommend a 6–8mm engineered-quartz overlay, fitted directly over the existing laminate—provided it is level, dry and firmly secured. Avoid vinyl wrap if you want a durable, premium finish. For approximately 4.72 linear metres, including the hob corner and cut-outs, budget around £1,200–£2,000 supplied and fitted. Obtain a templated quotation before ordering. A laminate overlay may be cheaper, but quartz will give the better finish and lifespan
