Block wall built on top of floor boards

Hi, I have just bought a 1930s bungalow. I found a rotten joist under the bath that needs replacing but noticed the block wall next to the joist is only laid on floorboards. I need to cut the floorboards to change the joist but worried the wall will fall down. Has anyone came across this before and have any suggestions how to change the joist and support the wall?

The wall may have been built at a later time. I would advise that you contact a structural engineer to have a look before proceeding any further.
