Double skinned retaing wall.

Can i build a 1m high double skinned retaining wall, laying standard dense blocks upright (longest side horizontal) for ithe inner skin and standard bricks flat for the outer skin. The wall will be about 5m long.

I would suggest ,concrete a footing with rebar steel pins set in the concrete footing,use hollow concrete blocks lengthways slid over the steel pins,fill hollow of blocks as you lay the courses,tie brickwork to block work using brick ties,
