Newly Plastered Walls

Hi, My advice is to get the plasterer back and complete the Job properly

You could line the walls because the plaster will definitely be dry after a month. Make sure you size/seal the plaster with watered down wallpaper paste before you apply the lining paper. Alternatively you could just scrape and sand any lumps of plaster off and fill any holes with wall filler and if you decide to paint the plastered wall, you need to thin the first coat of paint with water by 20%.

No need to line the walls , it's been plastered and that's the best finish you could have ? Especially in a kitchen.. Lining paper and kitchens don't go together as a rule due to moisture and steam etc.. Just take a 3 inch scraper or filler knife and knock off all the lumps and bumps, use some Easyfill to make good any holes or imperfections. Then you're ready to mist-coat all your newly plastered walls. Recommend using a durable matt paint for kitchen walls too as it will help for durability.. Good luck 🤞
