Could someone point me in the right direction as to who could help with this?
I have an external cable entry point on an outside wall that needs tidying up. Sky TV is working normally, but there appears to be an old NTL/Virgin cable and some exposed wiring outside.
I'm looking for someone to identify any redundant cables, tidy the area, fit a weatherproof cover if required, and seal the wall entry point.
There is no electrical fault and no actual electrical work required. Would this be within the remit of a handyman, or is there a more suitable trade I should contact?

Just ask for handyman and show pictures of the work you require to be done.

Need the picture to see what we need to fixe the hanging cable . Either the wires boxe or a plastic pipe . Most wires are safe if they’re passing through underground. We may need to cover the internal pipes with bricks or sanding ground. Seal the both cable connect area.

Yes, this would normally be suitable for a handyman. If the Sky service is working correctly and there is no electrical fault, a handyman can identify and carefully remove redundant external cables, tidy and secure the remaining cables, fit a suitable weatherproof cover if needed, and properly seal the wall entry point to prevent water getting in. I would always check the cables first before removing anything to make sure no active service is affected.
I'd look for someone who specifically advertises redundant cable removal, telecoms cable tidying or external cable removal. They should be able to identify what the various cables are, establish which ones are genuinely redundant, remove or secure them, tidy the external entry point and properly weather-seal the hole.
I’d be slightly reluctant to simply ask someone to cut an old NTL/Virgin cable without first confirming that it is genuinely unused, as some older telecoms cables can still be connected to the network even when you aren't currently using the service.
