shower pressure

Hi have and old property which is gravity fed system. i installed a salamander pump for additional pressure. however the shower, first few seconds is really strong pressure and then after few seconds the shower becomes weaker which is noticeable. what can i do to increase the shower pressure?

Was this installed correctly? Did you bleed the system before turning the pump on?
