Drilling my garage lock

Anonymous user 19/08/2026 - 2.59 PM

I’ve lost my garage keys and need access to it. I tried drilling the (non star rated) Euro cylinder lock but my bit snapped. Any advice on what bits to use?! HAS seem too weak and some cheapo Toolstation cobalt bits barely made a difference! Any assistance and suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

These locks can be snapped pretty easily due to a weak spot, you can buy an actual snapper or use some grips and move them side to side forcefully and it should snap the barrel if drilling becomes too much of a pain
