Armoured cable across boundary fence

My neighbour has recently built a 12 foot wooden “office” over his side of our mutual boundary fence. Looks nice. However, he has now put armoured cable across the top of the mutual boundary fence to power it. Is he allowed to do this.

Electrically there’s nothing wrong with the routing of the armoured but it depends who owns the fence. if it’s mutually owned then some courtesy of asking wouldn’t go to miss

If the fence is mutually owned then absolutely not. They should have asked and you could refuse. They have to own the fence outright to do this without your permission. Fence boundaries can be problematic though so you need to be sure on that.
