Suspended wooden floor insulation advice prior to posting a job

Hi, I'm looking at getting approx (I think) about 30sqm. of varnished tongue groove floorboards (across 2 living rooms and a hall) insulated in a 30s semi in Trafford/M16. I believe it has limited crawl space (can check space and exact room dimensions once get vacant possession end of August) so would need lifting and insulating from above and refitting lifted floorboards as final floor finish. Might need some more airbricks? How should insulation be done for EPC validation etc? vapour/breathable layers/insulation type/thickness requirements, and what details might be required to get an accurate price range, plus any tips on what I should ask a prospective builder/contractor? Hi Andy There is various ways of insulating but for me I would take up the floor boards and expose the timbers joists from above. Used 25mm treatment lathe fixed 100mm below the top of the joists to both sides of all the joints this will support the insulation. Then install 100mm celotex pir insulation boards tight fit and and uae a can of foam to close any gaps if needed, once dry cut the foam back level and use a relevant sliver tape. Apply this to all joins and also onto the face of the wooden joists to completely cover, Then re fit or re place the flooring as for more air bricks you should already have enough, I dont think it would do any harm if you wanted to add a few more. however sure all the vents are unblocked and air flow is present this is very important if not moisture builds up and your floor / joists over time will become rotten and fail.
