Which trade to ask to remove a stud wall?
Anonymous user 09/07/2026 - 11.40 AM
I would like someone to assess and remove a small stud partition wall that forms a cupboard in the alcove next to a chimney breast. I'd of course like confirmation that it's non-load-bearing before any work starts and potentially a quote for boarding over the bare brick wall inside ready for the plasterer once the wall & door are taken out. Does all this fall under one trade and under which category should I post it here? I originally had it under handyman but got no bites.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You need to ask someone that has experience of general building. This could be a handyman or as they prefer to be called, a multi-trader, these days.
In any event ensure that the person or company you ask is insured, and guarantees their work.
