the garden door handle go around in a circle lock does not open, turn the key and the lock is inaudible closes and opens. how to lock at the top and bottom of the door does not open

If it spins around could be shaft has worn or moved. Try taking one handle of and see if the square shaft is worn. Put grips on it if it still spins then you need to get a lock smith.if it works then it is the handle or shaft

Needs a new locking mechanism.
Easily remedied if you know what you are doing.
