How many hours should be completed for a "daily rate"? 7 or 8 hours on site? Mine does 7 (including quick lunch)

Standard hours are 8.5 site hours including half hour break paid . Important to note that day rate is different from a price rate , therefore if a price is fixed it really doesn’t matter how long he works . Kind regards Scott
