Sloping ceiling in bedroom

Hi, I am looking to buy a house howevere there is a sloping ceiling on one side of the bedroom which I think is due to the roof. Is it possible to get rid of this or make it smaller?

It is possible to fix you either replace the joists or turn them around...then redo the ceiling
