Bathroom Fitting

Experience with "Shower Board Co UK" panels? Looking for feedback on quality.

Hi everyone, I am looking to purchase wall panels for an upcoming bathroom renovation. I’m planning to order from the website showerboard, as they supply a few different major brands. Before I buy, I wanted to check in with the tradespeople here who have fitted these specific brands. I am currently deciding between: 1- Scudo, 2- Multipanel 3- Showerwall For those who install these regularly: > Which of these brands do you find easiest to cut, fit, and lock together (especially tongue-and-groove systems)? > Are there any specific adhesives or profiles from these brands you swear by to guarantee a 100% waterproof seal? > Have you noticed a major difference in rigidity and long-term durability between them? I’d love to hear your preferences from a fitter's perspective so I can choose the right brand off their site. Thanks! :)

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I’ve fitted all three over the years and, personally, I’d put Multipanel slightly ahead of the others. The Hydrolock tongue-and-groove system goes together really well, the panels are rigid, and they cut cleanly with very little chipping. Showerwall would be a close second and I’ve had good results with that too. Scudo is decent and offers good value, but I don’t find it quite as refined when it comes to fitting and joining the panels. For waterproofing, I always use the manufacturer’s recommended adhesive and trims where possible. The most important thing is making sure the panels are properly bonded to a flat surface and that all internal corners, base joints and penetrations are sealed correctly with a good quality sanitary silicone. Done properly, all three systems can be completely watertight. In terms of durability, Multipanel and Showerwall have both proven themselves over the long term on jobs I’ve done. They feel a bit more solid during installation and tend to hold up very well in busy family bathrooms. Scudo is still a good product, but if the price difference isn’t huge, I’d personally lean towards Multipanel or Showerwall. Thanks S&R PLUMBING&MAINTENANCE

All three are reputable products, but Multipanel and Showerwall tend to be the brands we see specified most often. The biggest mistake isn't the choice of panel, it's poor preparation. Even the best panel system can fail if the walls aren't flat or the joints aren't sealed correctly. Installation quality is just as important as the product itself.
