Deepens how much the parts and materials come to if its labour only depoist booking £200 to hold the date and cover the first day on the job , tjis also depends on the size and duration of the job or project .

This all depends on if any materials are needed for the job. However, if it was just labour only. Personally, I'd ask for around £300 upfront. To cover the cost of the disposable items I use, and to secure the date for the work. Hope this helps.

Depends on material v labour but if this was labour heavy around £400
Or much higher if materials heavy, even cover 100% materials
especially new customers

Labor only: 20% (£360) is ideal to secure the dates in the diary and commit both parties.
With materials: Charging the exact cost of materials upfront is the gold standard. It ensures the tradesperson isn't financing the job out of pocket, and the client pays exactly for what goes into their property.

Typically materials costs and a standard charge of £200 as a deposit when taking a slot in a diary.
