Hi, my neighbour is constructing a dormer for his loft conversion but is putting right up against my existing dormer so not allowing any access for repairs etc. surely this isnt allowed? its a 3 bed semi detacted

Usually in these case this should have been detailed on the Party Wall Agreement. Did you sign a Agreement

Hi. It isn’t automatically against the rules for a neighbour to build a dormer close to yours, but if it’s being built so close that you won’t be able to access your own dormer for future maintenance or repairs, it’s definitely worth questioning.
I’d suggest checking whether the work matches the approved plans and, if you’re concerned, contacting your local council’s planning or building control team. If you can post a few photos, people may be able to give more specific advice.
