What adhesive will work with newly cured bitumen DPM
Skye 20/07/2026 - 8.02 AM
I have recently applied Wickes liquid bitumen damp proof membrane to a concrete floor. I am wanting to glue solid oak parquet to the bitumen but I’m finding lots of mixed information online what type or brand of adhesive to use as some will chemically react with the bitumen and not let the glue bond/dry. Please can someone give me advice on what to use or do next. Is it possible to use an adhesive straight on to the newly cured bitumen DPM or do I need to do another step in between?
