Lift the flags and reduce the ground level if an appropriate sub base is not present. Lay the flags onto the sub-base (m.o.t/hardcore/stone to dust) using a full mortar bed. Point using mortar or a brush in compound. Jetwash to maintain

Hi,
If the heavy rain has washed out the bedding beneath the slabs, the affected slabs will usually need to be lifted, the voids filled and compacted with suitable sub-base material, and then the slabs re-laid on a proper mortar bed.

Could be a number of factors. Not bedded onto sub base if any!. Sub base non excistant.

Do you mean the grout? If so remove all the old and loose grout either regrout with sand and cement or or a silica resin which is quicker and tends to be more resistant no cracking and consistency throughout.

Unfortunately the slabs moving are an indication what was beneath has disappeared.
Fix is lift slabs and relay.
But when you have lifted the slabs you may want to find out where the water came from that washed the substrate away. If you post photos to show area I can provide further help.

Heavy rain has probably washed out the foundation beneath the slabs. The affected slabs should be lifted, the base rebuilt and compacted, then the slabs relaid and levelled. We would also recommend checking drainage to prevent future movement.

Pull up the affected slabs and remove the beds and base layer then replace the old base layer with dry type 1 mot insuring it is properly conpacted before relaying the slabs on a well mixed mortar bed
