Advice re water damage to bricks

Hi I had the bricks on the front of my house cleaned and repointed about 7 years ago. At the time a number of bricks were replaced underneath the ground floor bay window due to deterioration/spalling. Some of the bricks under the bay are clearly absorbing moisture now, there's efflorescence and the front of a few of the bricks in the middle of the bay and to one side are starting to flake off. The wall inside the house is totally dry. I'd be really grateful for an opinion on what's causing this and what I can do to prevent it.

Install some damp plugs to soak up any moisture, inspect the existing DPC, paint on some storm dry this acts as a weatherproof seal and will stop the bricks from getting wet

This is called spalling , it is due to frost damage , the bricks are wet and the water freezes and forces the face of the brick off as it freezes and expands.
