Pull through 6mm SWA to replace 2.5mm SWA

Hi all, 2.5mm swa cable goes from Main CU to junction box on external wall , then to a secondary CU in detached garage. To avoid drilling through various walls and having somewhat untidy trunking, is it feasible to attach the new cable to the other and pull through to the main CU? Thus then having a 6mm SWA cable suitable for EV charging in the garage? I assume it’s ducting that’s installed that the cable currently passes through then up to the main CU.
