Central Heating Installation Beneath Parquet Flooring – Required Pipe Depth and Clearance

Lilla Csato 16/04/2026 - 8.28 AM

When installing central heating by chasing pipework into a concrete slab beneath the original parquet flooring, how deep should the pipework be chased into the concrete below the underside of the existing parquet level? Specifically, what clearance is required between the top of the pipe (including lagging) and the underside of the floorboards when they are reinstated with self levelling?
