Cavity wall insulation removal
Anonymous user 22/06/2026 - 7.50 AM
I have CWI which i am pretty sure has failed. Do companies come out & do inspections to check or is it something i could do myself. I'm assuming it's just a matter of drilling a hole into the cavity & putting a camera through, or would using a camera that shows up any heat loss be better. Is CWI better nowadays than it used to be? Many thanks

Hello I run a cavity wall insulation extraction business and would be happy to advise , depending on local visit and ispect cavity and insulation for issues. And if required supply a quote for removal of the insulation.
Best regards

It’s probably best to get a thermal image done to see where the cold spots are just drilling a hole and using a camera doesn’t mean that area is failing if it’s been done recently then you can allways have it re blown if it’s old then it would have to extracted and re insulated most insulation companies can carry out inspections for you here is a few companies that may be able to help Insta group A&m and max energy
