Electric underfloor heating

Anonymous user 23/01/2026 - 8.00 AM

Looking to have my kitchen and conservatory floor tiles dug up so electric underfloor heating can be replaced and new floor put down. Do I need a builder, electrician and floorer, or one trade to do all?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi there, You’ll be better off getting an electrician and a tiler separately for the best outcome. Also, keep in mind with electric under floor heating it doesn’t warm the room up rather it warms just the floor. To keep the warranty you’ll need to get it tested at each stage of installation and recorded to be sent to the manufacturer.

I would recommend an electrician and a tiler As tiling is a skill on its own An electrician can remove the flooring and install your heating circuit. This will only heat the floor and not the room I install many electric showers and always leave the tiles to a professional
