Wooden floorboards on concrete
Edward Preston 03/12/2025 - 3.44 PM
We have a screeded concrete floor. Need to know what sort of damp-proof membrane is required over the concrete and how to attach the tongue and groove floorboards to that, please.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi. First of all O would like to advice you to do a humidity test. If it's ok you don't have to do any dpm. Mapei have very good dpm products. They have a proper Dom and they have primer dpm which isbgood as well. Depends on the humidity you have. You can glue the tongue and groove floorboards to the screed using wood glue from mapei or you could glue and screw them using concrete screws.
