Cover hole around capped gas pipe in floor before lvt

Gail Wright 01/12/2025 - 8.13 AM

Hi. I have had a guy solder and cap the old gas pipe to slightly under floor level. It is a house from 1906. I'm getting lvt fitted. Where there must have been an old hearth, the floor is cracked and needs screened. Everywhere else is floorboards. There is a hole around this pipe. How can they level over the hole to make sure the lvt flooring is seamlessly smooth between the screed to cover the rest of the cracked hearth and plywood? They said the size of the old hearth is too long to ply over, needs screed. I'm stuck, help!
